Sometimes there are issues identified by an author before publication. Instead of locking the author out completely allow them to continue making edits up to the point of publication.
For example: The map didn’t accept my location and locked me out of editing my own piece which is likely why it wasn’t accepted for publication. https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/stolen-valor-at-gettysburg
Hi @Traveling Maven Thanks for the suggestion. Are you aware of the draft feature where you can make as many edits as you need before submitting for review? Or was this a case where you submitted for review before the entry was ready for review?
This was a case of submitting but not realizing that the map feature didn’t take the address. Both when submitted and rejected there is no way to make the entry worthy of publication.
Also sometimes the editors make a typo that can be easily fixed.
