Verify that Gastro places are added to their respective destination guides#284

Thank you for flagging these! We looked into it and found an error with the geocoder that was preventing these entries from showing up on their respective destination pages. They should all be corrected now, but please let us know if you spot any more!

Thanks @linkogecko! Just made a couple fixes on those Nashville Places, they should be showing up now.

I’m looking into the geocoder for Lime Out—everything appears to be set up correctly there, but it’s still showing incorrectly on the destination page. Thank you for flagging the issue!

@Michelle Cassidy, in addition to the Taipei ones above that are still unfixed, there’s new ones today:

https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/my-cup-of-tea-hong-kong
https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/bakehouse-hong-kong

Edit: all the ones published that day have “Hong Kong, Hong Kong” as the location, while almost the entire guide is just “Hong Kong”.

@Michelle Cassidy I’d say this issue is as bad as at the start of the year.

This one today:

Hi @linkogecko, I’ve been out on vacation and am still getting caught up on everything, including the messages here. I’ve corrected all of the entries that you’ve flagged here.

Hi @Michelle Cassidy, thank you for fixing the above. For Hong Kong, it was all Gastro Places published on 4 August that were affected, so there’s 3 still unfixed. The system has handily gathered them all in one guide:

I’ll be blunt, it seems that issues often compound when you are away. Any possibility that other editors are aware of these issues and can help in preventing them when you’re not around?

Same with this feedback page, myself and other collaborators will often tag you in our requests as you’re the only member of the Places team we are aware of using it. Maybe it would make sense for other Places editors to keep an eye here when you’re not working, or that could be @-ed as alternative contacts?

Hi @linkogecko, thanks for flagging, I’ve fixed that one.

The other editors on the Places team are aware of these issues, but they’re also juggling a number of responsibilities, and for right now, I’m the main point person for this line of communication. Totally fine to keep tagging me as needed!

Hi @Michelle Cassidy, couple new cases this week. Cittie of Yorke was originally published without London in the location (now fixed), but this cafe published yesterday is still not assigned correctly to its destination guide:
